Important Safety & Prescription Notice: Prescription Required (Rx Only). Jardiance® can increase the risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs) and genital yeast infections due to the increased glucose present in the urine. Serious but rare risks include ketoacidosis (a critical medical condition requiring immediate emergency care) and necrotizing fasciitis of the perineum. It may cause volume depletion, leading to low blood pressure or lightheadedness. Jardiance is not intended for type 1 diabetes. Dosing eligibility relies on kidney function, so routine eGFR monitoring is required under medical supervision.
