Administration & Storage Instructions

Route: Subcutaneous injection only. Administer once weekly on the same day, at any time of day, with or without food. Inject into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, rotating injection sites weekly. Never inject into a vein or muscle.

Unopened Pens: Store inside your refrigerator between 36°F–46°F (2°C–8°C) until the printed expiration date. Do not freeze. Do not use if the pen has been frozen.

In-Use Pens (Room Temp): Trulicity pens can be kept at room temperature up to 86°F (30°C) for up to 14 days. Keep the pen in its original carton to protect the medication from direct light.
Important Safety & Prescription Notice: Prescription Required (Rx Only). Trulicity® carries a boxed warning regarding the potential risk of thyroid C-cell tumors. Do not use if you or anyone in your family has a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). The most common side effects are gastrointestinal, including nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and decreased appetite. Trulicity is not an insulin product and is not indicated for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). All dosing changes must be supervised by a licensed healthcare provider.
